MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Definition

For the purpose of these Treasured by Metro loyalty programme terms & conditions (“Treasured Terms and Conditions”), the following terms when capitalised shall have the meanings as set forth below, except where the context otherwise requires:

1.1. “Customers” refers to both Treasured Members and non-member customers of Metro.

1.2. “Metro Online” refers to Metro’s online store at www.metro.com.sg, or such other domain as may be used from time to time.

1.3. “Metro Partner” refers to the partner participating in the Treasured Programme with whom Metro has entered into a valid Partner Agreement.

1.4. “Metro Services” refers to the features and other services provided by Metro when customers visit the stores, events or online platform. Services include, but not limited to, delivery and alteration services.

1.5. “Personal Data” refers to the data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data; or from that data and other information to which the organisation has or is likely to have access.

1.6. “Services” refers to all services provided by Metro, including but not limited to the Metro Services and services available for Treasured Programme, whether online or offline.

1.7. “Third Party Sites” refers to any third-party websites that may be linked by Metro via Metro Online.

1.8. “Treasured Account” refers to the Treasured by Metro loyalty programme membership account maintained by Metro for the Treasured Member.

1.9. “Treasured Benefits” refers to the benefits and privileges a Treasured Member is entitled to base on his tier
status.

1.10. “Treasured Card” refers to the Treasured Programme membership card (which can be either physical or virtual card) issued by Metro.

1.11. “Treasured Member” refers to a customer with a valid Treasured by Metro loyalty programme membership account, across all membership tiers.

1.12. “Treasured Points” refers to the loyalty points awarded to the Treasured Member under the Treasured Programme.

1.13. “Treasured Programme” refers to the Treasured by Metro loyalty programme owned and managed by Metro (Private) Limited (“Metro”) which issues Treasured Points to Treasured Members in accordance with these Treasured Terms & Conditions.

1.14. “Users” refers to all individuals interacting with any of the Services and Metro.

1.15. “$” refers to Singapore Dollar.

Unless the context otherwise requires, words referring to the singular number shall include the plural number and vice versa, references to natural persons shall include body corporate and the use of any gender shall include all genders. The use of headings in these Treasured Terms and Conditions are for the ease of reference only and should not be used for the interpretation of the Treasured Terms and Conditions.

2. Treasured Program

2.1. ELIGIBILITY

2.1.1. Applicants must be at least 18 years old during time of application.

2.1.2. Participation by any individual in the Treasured Programme shall be subject to Metro's approval at its sole discretion.

2.1.3. As a default, Treasured Member's registered mobile number will be used for Treasured Member's unique identifier.

2.1.4. Treasured Account, Treasured Card, Treasured Points and Treasured Benefits are strictly non-transferrable and shall not be convertible into cash.

2.2. REWARDS

2.2.1. A Treasured Member can earn Treasured Points on qualifying transactions made at Metro retail stores and Metro Online at www.metro.com.sg. Bonus Treasured Points can also be earned by participating in selected Metro engagement and marketing activities when applicable.

2.2.2. Treasured Points have no monetary value and shall only be earned, redeemed or utilised in accordance with these Treasured Terms and Conditions. Treasured Point shall only be valid in Singapore for use at Metro stores and Metro Online.

2.2.3. Treasured Points will not be awarded for transactions made with Metro-UOB cards for which Metro$ are awarded.

2.2.4. All Treasured Points shall be awarded in accordance with the Treasured Terms and Conditions herein.

2.2.5. Treasured Points accrued in a Treasured Account are not transferable or assignable to any other person.

2.2.6. Treasured Points and Treasured Benefits are automatically void upon termination of the relevant Treasured Account or the Treasured Programme. Treasured members shall not be entitled to any compensation in respect of any cancellation of Treasured Points or termination of a Treasured Account by Metro pursuant to these Treasured Terms and Conditions.

2.2.7. Treasured Members may check the Treasured Points balance in their Treasured Account by logging into their Treasured Account via Metro Online or at Metro Customer Service counters.

2.2.8. Treasured Members may enjoy member perks and privileges base on the tier they are in.

a. Treasured Points earned are based on the following rates:

  • i. Silver: 1 Treasured Points per $1 nett spend
  • ii. Gold: 2 Treasured Points per $1 nett spend
  • iii. Pearl: 3 Treasured Points per $1 nett spend
  • iv. Jade: 5 Treasured Points per $1 nett spend

b. Your birthday voucher will be available on the 1st day of your birthday month and will be valid for one (1) month. If your membership tier is upgraded during your birthday month and you have not used the voucher yet, the voucher will then be updated to match your new tier.

  • i. Silver: One (1) 20% discount voucher (capped at $300 single transaction).
  • ii. Gold: One (1) 20% discount voucher (capped at $500 single transaction).
  • iii. Pearl: One (1) 20% discount voucher (capped at $1,000 single transaction).
  • iv. Jade: One (1) 20% discount voucher (capped at $2,000 single transaction).

c. Car parking benefit is only available at Metro Paragon for Pearl members, with a minimum $100 nett spend and Jade members, with any spend at Metro Paragon.

  • i. Parking redemption coupons can be redeemed at Metro Paragon Customer Service counters.
  • ii. A valid transaction receipt must be presented upon redemption. Transaction must be made on the same day of redemption.
  • iii. Parking redemption vouchers are only valid for use on the same day of the transaction.

2.2.9. Metro's decisions on all matters relating to or in connection with the use of the Treasured Card, Treasured Account, Treasured Points and Treasured Benefits shall be final and binding on the Treasure Member and no correspondences shall be entertained.

2.3. TREASURED POINTS VALIDITY

2.3.1. Treasured Points will expire on the last day of the 12th month from the date of crediting. Example: Treasured Points earned on 19 May 2025 must be redeemed by 31 May 2026. Any unutilised points after 31 May 2026 will expire and be forfeited. For more information, please visit our Treasured FAQ page.

2.3.2. Metro may from time to time, amend the validity period of the Treasured Points without prior notice to Treasured Members.

2.3.3. Expired Treasured Points will be automatically forfeited and no longer valid for use by the Treasured Member concerned.

2.4. THE USAGE OF TREASURED POINTS TO OFFSET PAYMENTS

2.4.1. Treasured Members may use their Treasured Points to offset payments, partially or fully, at Metro stores and Metro Online. Conversion rate is at 500 Treasured Points = $5 Metro E-Gift voucher, and it must be redeemed in blocks of 500 Treasured Points. Any remaining Treasured Points that do not meet the "500 Treasured Points" minimum (e.g. having 1,700 Treasured Points means 200 Treasured Points will remain unredeemed) will stay in your Treasured Account.

2.4.2. Treasured Members must (i) in the case of in-store purchase, present their Treasured Card or inform the cashier of their registered mobile number at the point of sale; or (ii) login to Treasured Account and select the relevant payment option on Metro Online, for the redemption of the Treasured Points from his or her Treasured Account towards set-off of such payments.

2.4.3. Any deduction, usage and/or redemption of Treasured Points from the Treasured Account will not be refunded to the Treasured Member for any reason whatsoever. Once the Treasured Member has completed the redemption process, the usage or redemption of Treasured Points from the Treasured Account shall not be cancelled, reversed, refunded or reinstated.

2.4.4. Treasured Points will only be awarded for nett spend excluding payments made using Metro-UOB credit card and Metro E-Gift Vouchers (i.e. vouchers redeemed using Treasured Points). This means that Treasured Points will be awarded for transactions made using Metro Gift Vouchers (physical).

2.4.5. Redemptions of Treasured Points are final. There will be no refund of Treasured Points once a transaction is completed.

2.4.6. All redemptions of Treasured Points are subject to further terms and conditions as determined by Metro (Private) Limited from time to time.

2.5. TREASURED TIERS

2.5.1. A Treasured Member's tier status is valid until the last day of the 12th month of achieving that status. A minimum spend requirement must be met within the 12-month period for Treasured Member to maintain his or her current tier status.

2.5.2. While there is no expiration to being a Treasured Member, should the Treasured Member not meet the minimum spend requirement within the 12-month period, he or she will be downgraded to the appropriate lower tier base on the cumulative nett spend over the prior 12-month period.

2.5.3. The minimum spend criteria (over a 12-month period) for tier upgrades and renewals are the same:

  • i. Silver: $0 - $499.99 nett spend over 12 months from date of sign up.
  • ii. Gold: $500 - $1,999.99 nett spend over 12 months from date of tier status upgrade.
  • iii. Pearl: $2,000 and above nett spend over 12 months from date of tier status upgrade.

Example: If a Treasured Member qualifies for Gold on 19 May 2025, the Treasured Member must spend at least $500 by 31 May 2026 to maintain the Gold status. If the spend requirement is not achieved, the Treasured Member's tier status will revert to Silver.

2.5.4. The Jade tier is by invitation only, extended solely at Metro's discretion. Likewise, any decision to downgrade a Jade tier Treasured Member is at the sole discretion of Metro.

2.6. CHANGES TO THE TREASURED ACCOUNT

2.6.1. Notwithstanding any other provisions in these Treasured Terms and Conditions and without prejudice to any other rights and remedies stated herein, Metro reserves the right to make any changes to the Treasured Account (including but not limited to crediting or deducting Treasured Points from the Treasured Account, suspending or terminating the Treasured Account) and/or disqualify the Treasured Member from participating in any contest, lucky draw, programme, activity or event organised by Metro (whether solely or jointly with Metro Partners, or other collaborators) without prior notice to the Treasured Member, upon the occurrence of any of the following circumstances:

a. Wrongful crediting or deduction of Treasured Points arising from:

  • i. System glitches, malfunction, failure or disruption;
  • ii. Human error;
  • iii. Dishonest or fraudulent means; or
  • iv. Operational mistakes or changes;
  • v. Any tampering, exploitation of an error or manipulation as determined by Metro in its sole discretion;

b. Inaccurate, false, misleading or illegible information supplied by the Treasured Member; or

c. Changes in the terms and conditions of any contest, lucky draw, programme, promotion, activity or event.

2.7. TERMINATION

2.7.1. A Treasured Account shall remain valid until terminated by either Metro or the Treasured Member. Metro may at its sole and absolute discretion, terminate the Treasure Account by giving 2 weeks prior written notice as Metro deems fit without assigning any reason. The Treasured Member may request to terminate its Treasured Account via the account deletion process provided for in its account details by logging into their Treasured Account via Metro Online or at Metro Customer Service counters. All account deletion requests are final and irreversible once processed. Upon deletion of the Treasured Account, all information and benefits associated with the Treasured Account will not be accessible or recoverable.

2.7.2. Metro reserves the right to terminate a Treasured Account with immediate effect should any of the following circumstances arise:

a. the Treasured Member commits any fraud or misrepresents any information supplied or to be supplied by the Treasured Member; or

b. the Treasured Member defaults on the due observance and performance of any of these Treasured Terms and Conditions and such default (if capable of being remedied) is not remedied within a period of thirty (30) days after Metro has given the Treasured Member written notice of such default.

2.7.3. Upon the termination of the Treasured Account, the Treasured Member's participation in the Treasured Programme shall terminate immediately and all Treasured Points in the Treasured Member's Account shall be forfeited. For the avoidance of doubt, Treasured Members shall not be entitled to any compensation in respect of such forfeiture.

2.7.4. Upon the termination of the Treasured Account, the Treasured Card (physical and virtual) shall be rendered void immediately.

2.8. INDEPENDENT PROGRAMME

2.8.1. Notwithstanding any collaborations or partnerships with any other entities to issue co-branded cards, Treasured Programme is an independent loyalty programme wholly owned and offered by Metro.

2.8.2. It is the responsibility of all holders of such co-branded cards to notify both Metro and the co-brand entity if there are changes to his or her particulars and/or Personal Data.

2.9. TRANSACTIONAL INFORMATION RELATING TO THE TREASURED ACCOUNT

2.9.1. Upon Treasured Member's request, Metro may, at its sole discretion, disclose to that Treasured Member the transactional information relating to his or her Treasured Account up to a maximum period of one (1) year prior to such request.

2.9.2. If Metro is agreeable to disclose Treasured Member's transactional information pursuant to Clause 2.9.1 above, Treasured Member may be required to pay Metro an administrative fee as determined by Metro for the disclosure of the requested transactional information.

2.9.3. Notwithstanding that Treasured Members may request to receive his or her transactional information for the past year subject to Metro's approval, Treasured Members agree that they are not entitled to dispute any such transactional information if more than one (1) month has elapsed from the date of such transactional information. Metro's decision regarding any dispute on the transactional information shall be final and binding. Treasured Members further agree that they will not use such transactional information to commence any action or proceeding against Metro or use such transactional information in any way that may or will cause disrepute to Metro or impact Metro negatively.

2.9.4. For the avoidance of doubt, Metro will not entertain any requests from any Treasured Member for his or her transactional information where the request relates to transactional information that is more than one (1) year prior to the date of the said request.

3. General

3.1. NOTICES

3.1.1. A notice from Metro to the Treasured Member pursuant to these Treasured Terms and Conditions may be sent (i) by post to the address of the Treasured Member listed on Metro's records; (ii) by text messages to the Treasured Member's mobile number listed on Metro's records; (iii) by email to the Treasured Member's email address listed on Metro's records; (iv) by way of notice on the Metro's platforms; or (v) by such other mode as agreed between Metro and the Treasured Member, regardless of whether Member has opted out of marketing communications from Metro. It is the responsibility of the Treasured Member to inform Metro if there are any changes to his or her particulars on Metro's records. Such notices shall be deemed to be delivered to the Treasured Member (i) three (3) days after date of posting if sent by post; (ii) immediately at the time of sending of text messages; (iii) immediately at the time of sending if sent by email; or (iv) immediately at the time of upload of the notice on the Metro platform if by way of notice on the Metro platform.

3.1.2. Treasured Members authorises Metro to collect, use and/or disclose the member's Personal Data in accordance with Metro's Data Privacy Policy. The Treasured Member shall promptly notify Metro of any change in his or her particulars.

3.1.3. All notices, requests and instructions from Treasured Members to Metro must be made through the customer service portal. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Metro shall be entitled in its absolute discretion to reply and act on any verbal notice, request or instruction of the Treasured Member if Metro reasonably believes that such notice, request or instruction originated from the Treasured Member.

3.1.4. Save for enquiries or requests relating to data protection matters where it will be attended in accordance with Metro's Data Privacy Policy, Metro will need at least ten (10) working days from Metro's receipt of the Treasured Member's notice, request or instruction to process the Treasured Member's request or instruction.

3.2. TREASURED MEMBER'S AND USER'S ASSUMPTION OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

3.2.1. Metro shall not be liable in any way (i) for any malfunction, defect or error in any terminal or other data processing equipment, software or system used to process Treasured Card transactions whether belonging to or operated by Metro or other persons; (ii) for any delay or failure in processing Treasured Card transactions because of any electronic, mechanical system, data processing or telecommunication defect or failure, act of God, civil disturbance or any event outside Metro's control or the control of any Metro's servants, agents, contractors; (iii) for any damage to or loss of or inability to retrieve any data or information that may be stored in the Treasured Card or any microchip or circuit or device in the Treasured Card or corruption of any such data or information, howsoever caused; (iv) and/or for any fraud and/or forgery in relation to the Treasured Card perpetrated on Metro or any of Metro's servants, agents or contractors.

3.2.2. Treasured Members shall fully indemnify and keep indemnified Metro against all claims, demands, action, proceedings, losses, damages, costs and expenses of any nature (including legal costs on an indemnity basis) suffered, incurred or sustained by Metro directly or indirectly by reason of or in connection with these terms and conditions, including, without limitation: (i) any use or misuse of the Treasured Card and/or Treasured Account; and (ii) any breach of these terms and conditions on the part of the Treasured Member.

3.2.3. Metro shall not be liable for any injury, loss or inconvenience arising out of or in connection with the Treasured Programme. Metro shall not be liable under any circumstances whatsoever for any indirect or direct, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages that result from, or arise out of the usage of any information stated herein or the participation in the Treasured Programme.

3.3. METRO'S DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES AND EXCLUSIONS OF LIABILITY

3.3.1. Treasured Members agree that the Treasured Cards are intended to be used as a loyalty card for the accumulation of Treasured Points for eligible purchases and that Metro does not make any representation or warranty with respect to any goods and/or services purchase, regardless the qualification of purchase for Treasured Points. Metro shall not be liable for any claim, loss, damage, injury, death, costs or expenses howsoever incurred, suffered or sustained by the Treasured Member as a result of or in connection with the purchase of such goods and/or services. Each Treasured Member agrees to direct all claims in relation to such goods and/or services to the Metro Partner, manufacturer or such appropriate third party concerned with the supply of such goods and/or services.

3.3.2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Metro shall not be liable for any claim, loss, damage, cost or expense incurred, suffered or sustained by Customers arising from or in connection with:

a. any failure or refusal by any Metro Partner in accepting the Treasured Card;
b. any defective or damage Treasured Card;
c. any lost, misplaced or stolen Treasured Card;
d. the use or misuse of the Treasured Card;
e. any loss of data and records relating to the Treasured Account or Treasured Programme;
f. any loss of stored benefits (including Treasured Points) in the Treasured Account or the inability to use the stored benefits in the Treasured Account;
g. any acts, omissions, negligence or wilful default on the part of the Treasured Partner;
h. any acts, omissions, negligence or wilful default on the part of Metro, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents or contractors;
i. the inability of Metro to perform any Metro Services or of their respective obligations due, whether directly or indirectly, to the failure of any computer, machine, processing or communication systems, power failure, industrial dispute, war, act of God, governmental regulations, prohibitions or measures of any kind, or any event beyond reasonable control of Metro, as the case may be; or
j. any failure or inability of the Customer to access Metro Online or other platform or to use any of the Metro Services.

3.4. COPYRIGHT AND OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

3.4.1. All intellectual property subsisting on Metro platform including the design, text, images, graphics, logos and other content, and all intellectual property rights contained therein belongs to Metro and/or their licensors.

3.4.2. Customers agree not to copy, reproduce, distribute or publish any content of Metro platform without prior written permission from Metro and/or their licensors.

3.4.3. For the avoidance of doubt, all intellectual property subsisting in any material, media, sample, document, platform or third-party sites relating to Treasured Programme belongs to Metro and/or its licensors.

3.5. ACCESS TO THIRD PARTY SITES

3.5.1. Customers may be able to access Third Party Sites. Third Party Sites are not reviewed, controlled, or examined by Metro in any way and Metro is not responsible for the content, availability, advertising, products or other materials of any such Third Party Sites, or any additional links contained therein. These links do not imply Metro's endorsement of, association, partnership or any other relationship with the Third Party Sites or with their operators. It is the sole responsibility of Customers to comply with the terms of service and privacy notice of the Third Party Sites as well as with any other obligation under copyright, secrecy, defamation, decency, privacy, security and export laws related to the use of such Third Party Sites and any content contained there on. In no event shall Metro be liable, directly or indirectly, to anyone for any loss or damage arising from or occasioned by the creation or use of the Third Party Sites or the information or material accessed through these Third Party Sites. Any concerns should be directed to the Third Party Site's administrator or webmaster. Metro reserves the exclusive right, at its sole discretion, to add, change, decline or remove, without notice, any link to any of the Third Party Sites from Metro platform and/or introduce different links to different users.

3.6. MISCELLANEOUS

3.6.1. These Treasured Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Metro and the Treasured Member in relation to the Treasured Programme, and no further or other terms and/or conditions shall be deemed to be implied or to arise by way of any other collateral or other agreement by reason of any representation made or given by Metro.

3.6.2. Metro reserves the right to change the Treasured Terms and Conditions from time to time or terminate the Treasured Programme at any time at its sole discretion. Metro may provide notification base on the methods in Clause 3.1 above and shall be effective as of the date specified by Metro in such notification.

3.6.3. If any one or more of the Treasured Terms and Conditions or any part thereof is declared to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable under any applicable law, it will not affect the legality, validity or enforceability of the remainder of the Treasured Terms and Conditions.

3.6.4. The Treasured Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore and Metro and Treasured Members submit irrevocably to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.

3.7. COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

3.7.1. The collection, use and disclosure of Customers' (including Treasured Members') Personal Data will be in accordance with Metro's Data Privacy Policy which is available here. By using his or her Treasured Card, logging into his or her Treasured Account and participating in the Treasured Programme, or using any of Metro Services, Customers are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the terms of Metro's Data Privacy Policy. • The giveaway will run from November 13, 2025 to December 2, 2025. Any entries received outside this timeframe will be deemed invalid.
• Employees of Metro (Private) Limited and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in this giveaway.
